We collect personal information from you when you enquire about our activities, sign
up to our newsletter, use the referral service or otherwise provide us with personal
information. We may also receive information about you from other people, if a friend or
colleague refers you to our website. We will also gather general information regarding
the use of our website, such as which pages are visited most frequently. Only
anonymous information and statistics will be used which do not identify individual visitors.
This information helps us improve the services and information we offer on our website.

about a product, service or an issue.

Your information is used to contact you about up and coming workshops and events and
provide you with information about Sow the City activities. The information will only be
shared with relevant project funders. If the data held by us are requested by external
organisations for any reason, this will only be passed if data subjects agree.

unsubscribe via the link provided on the newsletter email.

Appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken against unauthorised or

Personal information submitted is password protected, which allow only authorised staff
to access personal data.
Unfortunately, the transmission of data over the Internet is never 100% secure we will do
our best to protect your personal information, but we can’t guarantee the security of any
information you submit to us via our website.
Sow the City will take appropriate measures to ensure that the information we receive is
kept secure, accurate and up to date and we discourage the retention of data for longer
than it is required.

personal data are not processed without their knowledge, and, wherever possible, is
processed without their consent.
The Act requires Sow the City to register the fact that we hold personal data and to
acknowledge the right of ‘subject access’ – voluntary and community group members
and staff must have the right to copies of their own data.
