Volunteering
Sow the City is always interested in hearing from people that would like to work in the community
gardening/ environmental education sector. We are particularly interested in hearing from teachers with
horticultural experience, landscape architects and landscape gardeners, as well as individuals who, like
us, have a passion for working with people and the environment.
To keep up to date with both employment and volunteering opportunities at Sow the City, why not sign up
to our newsletter? Alternatively, we would love to hear from you directly, so feel free to email us at
info@sowthecity.org.
Many hands make light work! As a not for profit organisation volunteers are important for many of our
projects. We regularly need help in a variety of ways including constructing or maintaining community
gardens and planting fruit and vegetables. These sessions are outdoors, good fun and great exercise.
If this sort of hands-on work interests you we can add you to our pool of volunteers and contact you
when we need some help.
We occasionally recruit a more permanent volunteer to help to provide help in the office. This role
involves a range of tasks from practical help as listed above, to helping us out with project administration.
Our permanent volunteer position is ideal for people that want to gain experience of the environmental/
sustainable food sector.
If you are interested in volunteering for Sow the City email us at info@sowthecity.org.
