Sustainability audits | We can conduct sustainability
audits of organisations including looking at energy and
carbon footprint, waste, water, food and drink covering a
wide range of sustainability impacts.
Carbon footprinting | We can prepare a carbon
footprint for your organisation using the
Greenhouse
Gas Reporting Protocol methodology. We can use this
to develop a Carbon Reduction Plan and identify
opportunities to reduce carbon emissions.
Technical advice | We work with Manchester City
Council to conduct site assessments of new food
growing sites across the city. Providing a detailed
analysis of growing conditions, potential infrastructure
development and community engagement opportunities.
Evaluation | Sow the City undertook an evaluation
project with Southway Housing Trust into their
Growing Communities programme. We used
geomapping to identify areas within their estates that
could be targeted for future food growing outreach.
Business advice | We worked with the Federation of
City Farms and Community Gardens to provide bespoke
business planning advice for small to medium sized
community growing groups in the Manchester area.
Asset mapping | Sow the City have been commissioned
by the NHS to undertake food poverty mapping across
Manchester.
